Jar Trip

Karine and I saved $2 a week plus any spare change for about half a year. After graduation I took off to Bolingbrook to spend a few days with her and use our savings on a fun trip to Galena, IL.

We visited a vineyard, which I highly recommend if you're a wine drinker. We were able to see the vines, learn how wine is made, and taste some wonderful wines. It was at this vineyard that I found a new favorite dessert -- raspberry port wine with dark chocolate.

So far, life after graduation is full of fun adventures with friends, exploration in cooking and lots of relaxation. But to all you out there thinking, "Wow, sounds fantastic!" I'm here to tell you it is, BUT the hard work starts soon enough.

While I Can't Speak for Everyone

When I was in high school I thought that getting through college would be the hard part and life would simply fall into place after graduation. Boy was I wrong! College has proved to be the easy and fun part. What nobody ever told me (let's be honest I probably just wasn't listening) was that things become more difficult, a little scary, but very exciting after graduation.

First, a BIG thank you to my parents for all the financial and moral support -- I couldn't have done it without them. But now, its my turn. I took a job in North Carolina and will be moving soon.

As for now, let me fill you in on what life is like post-grad and pre-job!
