One Week Down

I am officially in week two of the real world. So far...so good. I am in Atlanta for two days for a new hire orientation at headquarters. I have not gotten to see much of Atlanta, but headquarters is really impressive. A few things you may be interested in knowing:

- Everyone is in cubes, there are no offices: even the CEO has a cube! (it's just restricted)
- They offer cooking classes in the working kitchen in the building
- All of the lights are hallogen -- making for an insane electric bill!

That being said, my work space is far less glorious. But it's all mine! I'm sure it will become more homey eventually -- but I figured you'd be very curious to see it...
I also have a great team! I know I can learn a lot from them, and I look forward to the next few months. I never liked cleaning much, but now I live and breathe cleaning 5 days a week :) If you haven't seen the Reveal Spray Mop -- I highly suggest you check it out.

First Day

Well, I made it through my first day of work! It consisted of a lot of introductions and getting caught up on everything going on in my department. I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks!

Staycation

This past weekend, the boyfriend and I had a staycation. Yes, a staycation is a vacation where you stay at home -- still living on college student income people! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is on a budget. Plan fun things throughout your weekend that you don't normally do.

We made dinner together: Chicken marsala with homemade pasta, salad and a chocolate brownie sundae  for dessert. Got him with the flour!

Boltini for some martinis

My new favorite martini? Raspberry truffle martini
