A Visit to Charleston

Jordan came to visit for the weekend and we took a quick trip to Charleston, SC.  It's a gorgeous, historic town with great restaurants and culture.  We ate wonderful southern food (highly recommend Hominy Grill), visited the market and farmers market (on the corner of Calhoun and Meeting), had drinks on the rooftop and took a carriage ride to learn about some of Charleston's history.  Jordan, Mom and I had our cameras to our faces most of the trip.

We also celebrated Cole's birthday with plenty of time on the lake and a bonfire.  All in all, it was a great weekend.  The kind that you never want to end.  If you get a chance to explore Charleston, I highly recommend it.

Let's Catch Up...

Well...as you can see, I haven't done a great job at updating this lately!  In looking back at the last two years worth of postings, this has been a great record of my adventures so far.

So, let me catch you up on what I've been doing since December and maybe (just maybe), I'll do better at writing consistently again.

I enjoyed my first cruise with my wonderful friend, Steff!  We went to the Bahamas and loved every minute of it!  We got to go parasailing and on a kayak adventure.  We loved the entertainment on the ship, especially the comedian.  I'd definitely go again!  Plus, who doesn't love to go somewhere warm in February?

Rachel came to visit, we went to the drive in zoo (Rachel is very scared of birds) and went with my mom to the Bon Jovi concert.  We had a wonderful time, and it was great to get to spend an entire long weekend with her.  It's been far too long since we were able to do that.

I also fell in love with Kate Spade.  It happened quickly, but I've enjoyed every minute we've spent together ever since.  Just take a look and you'll understand why...

I met Kara and Steff in Nashville for the weekend.  We love country music...and we LOVED Music City.  I came home expecting to hear great live country music everywhere I went...imagine my disappointment.

I also booked a trip to Italy!  We were clearly very excited...and it's been so long since I've posted that we're actually leaving this week for our vacation.  Hopefully I have plenty of great photos to share afterward.  (If we come back that is...we both secretly hope to find Italian men to whisk us away).

Jordan graduated college!  And I got my first promotion.

My mom and I ran the Warrior Dash...it was rough but we were sure proud of ourselves!

I also enjoyed some exploration in photography, hiking, Dinner Club, moving into a new apartment in Charlotte and much more.  It's been a great 2013 so far, and I'm excited to see what the rest of the year brings.  Take a look at some more fun times...

Whew! That was practically a year's worth of highlights!
